Why convert SVG to PNG?

Many apps, social networks and documents can't display SVG. A PNG keeps transparency and works everywhere.

Good to know

  • The PNG is drawn at the size set in the SVG. For a sharper result on high-resolution screens, export the SVG at a larger size from your design app first.
  • Fonts that the SVG loads from the web may not be available when it's drawn, so check text in the preview. Converting text to outlines in your design app avoids this.

Depends on the image’s dimensions. PNG is a pixel image, so it won’t stay sharp if you scale it up later.
